Nurse Practitioner

Seeking to hire a full-time Primary care Nurse Practitioner, Physican Assistant and Physician to work within a beautiful newly renovated Assisted Living or Nursing Home near Kingston, NY.

Salary: $ 135,000-$200,000

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patient check-ups to assess health conditions and discover possible issues
• Collects, records and maintains accurate patient information
• Give appropriate advice for healthy habits and preventative actions to promote overall health
• Conduct examinations with patients and evaluate symptoms to diagnose condition
• Documents items such as: past medical, family, and social history, review of systems, examinations, medications, allergies, assessment and plan
• Analyzes reports and findings of tests and of examination, and diagnoses condition
• Reach an informed diagnosis based on scientific knowledge and the patient’s medical history
• Prescribe and interpret lab tests to obtain more information on underlying infections or abnormalities
• Prescribe medications and provide comprehensive instructions for administration
• Examine and provide treatments for injuries and refer patients to other subspecialties.
• Keep records of patients’ diseases, operations, or other significant medical information
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for patients
• Remain up-to-speed with developments and best practices in medicine by attending conferences and seminars

• Strong understanding of examination methodologies and diagnostics
• Excellent knowledge of infectious diseases, their symptoms, and epidemiology
• Broad knowledge of common medication, side effects, and contraindications
• In-depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Compassionate and approachable
• Respect for patient’s confidentiality
