What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse Administrator Hospice position at Medical Services of America?
MSA Hospice of the Lowcountry, a proud member of the MSA family, currently seeks a Full-Time Administrator for our Hospice location in Ridgeland, SC.
This position organizes and directs the agency’s day to day operations according to approved policies, procedures and standards. Maintains the image of the agency in the communities the agency serves and in state and national organizations.
Other responsibilities include:
- Serves as a liaison among the governing body, professional advisory group, and professional and personnel.
- Plans, coordinates, directs and controls the operations of the Agency in compliance with Board mission and directives and Conditions of Participation.
- Ensures fiscal success of the agency in compliance with Board directives.
- Authorizes all patient balance write offs, and provided reporting on write offs to the Board of Directors.
- Keeps up-to-date on new developments as related to the Agency in regard to state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Assists with the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, coaching, and discipline of the sales team in accordance with the sales leadership.
- Reports monthly to the Board of Directors on regional sales performance and issues which need to be addressed to achieve goals.
- Interviews, hires, supervises, evaluates, and disciplines staff in accordance with company policies and procedures and state/federal regulations.
Job Requirements
- Associates degree from an accredited school of nursing required.
- Currently licensed as an RN in the state of SC.
- Has experience in health service administration, with a least 1 year of supervisory or administrative experience in hospice care or a related health care program.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of federal & state laws and guidelines pertaining to hospice and Medicare required.
- Proven success in revenue growth and in the development and execution of market planning.
- Valid driver’s license.
