We are looking for well-qualified pharmacists to provide hospital pharmacy coverage in the Pharmacy Management Dept. Current openings are in our Omak, Washington location. The level of commitment is dependent upon our contracted facility's needs. This position is a Full-time position. The employee will be responsible for the management of the inpatient hospital in which they are covering by ensuring the pharmacy is operating in compliance with all RCW’s and WAC’s.


Specific Responsibilities May Include:

 

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates services of the pharmacy department.
  • Responsible for ongoing monitoring and evaluation of pharmaceutical services and oversees appropriate utilization and control of pharmaceuticals throughout the hospital.
  • Works cooperatively with hospital stakeholders to establish, update and monitor pharmacy related policies and procedures. These policies and procedures will be reviewed annually and revised as appropriate.
  • Responsible for quality control of all pharmacy programs.
  • Acts as a resource person for the Medical Practitioners and hospital staff concerning information on medications and associated services.
  • Monitors and updates charge system for drugs and pharmaceutical services.
  • Directs and coordinates purchasing and maintenance of pharmacy inventory.

 

Minimum Employment Requirements:

 

  • Education: Must be a graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education.  Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.
  • Currently licensed in the State of Washington
  • Position requires on-site coverage at facility, travel may be required.
  • Candidate must be Located in Central WA.

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of electronic healthcare record systems and automated drug distribution systems.
  • Hospital experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time at a computer.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds, kneel, reach overhead, bend down, open boxes, stock shelves
  • Must be able to drive for 2 or more hours

  

Full-time employees are eligible for these benefits on the 1st of the month following date of hire (must be working 35 hours/week for eligibility)
