We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant or an Ophthalmic Technician to join one of our teams in either Monroeville, Bethel Park, or Cranberry! (openings at all 3 locations!)
Location : Pittsburgh, PA (Multiple locations available : Monroeville, Bethel Park, Cranberry)
Schedule : Monday - Friday, Day Shift
Salary : $18 - $23 per hour (dependent on qualifications and experience)
We are currently seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant / Ophthalmic Technician to join our specialized ophthalmology practice.

Key Responsibilities :
- Initiate patient evaluations by documenting chief complaints, history of present illness, review of systems, past surgeries, medications, and pertinent ocular findings in accordance with compliance guidelines.
- Perform pre-exam testing, including visual acuity assessments, tonometry, pupillary dilation, and other patient services as requested by the physician.
- Set up for procedures, including intravitreal injections, which involves pulling the drug and documenting necessary information in the EHR (lot number, expiration date, etc.).
- Clean surgical instruments in preparation for sterile processing.
- Conduct inventory of instrument supplies as directed.
- Assist with the maintenance of clinical exam equipment.
- Order clinical supplies as needed.
- Open and close exam and injection rooms.
- Assist with photography if trained to do so.
Job Requirements :
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and a neat, professional appearance are mandatory.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient typing skills with previous experience using electronic health records (e.g., EPIC, NextGen).
- Previous medical office clinical experience is preferred; prior experience in ophthalmology is a plus.
