Job Description :
The Medical Assistant Supervisor will oversee the clinical staff, including medical assistants and front desk receptionists, and also work hands-on as a Medical Assistant.
This role requires a blend of management and direct patient care to maintain the highest medical standards.
Responsibilities & duties :
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to set goals for financial performance, clinical quality, service excellence, patient-centered priorities, and employee satisfaction.
- Provide patient care.
- Look for opportunities to improve business processes, patient care quality, and patient satisfaction.
- Manage clinical staff and monitor their performance, ensuring they are completing tasks correctly and on time.
- Ensure the clinic has the right number of skilled employees and manage shift scheduling.
- Maintain positive relationships with team members, healthcare providers, and administration.
- Monitor and maintain the clinic's facilities and equipment.
- Adhere to regulatory agency policies and procedures.
- Manage inventory of medical and non-medical items.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
Required Qualifications :
- REQUIRED : Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant certification.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and medical instruments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Performance Skills :
