SUMMARY: The Entry Level Accountant will be responsible for receiving and processing all invoices requiring payment to vendors as well as Payroll Processing and some Month End Entries.
PRIMARY DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
• Process Accounts Payable transactions while examining vendor's invoices for accuracy and adhering to current policies and procedures.
a. Invoices are to be scanned into Accounting Software for every payment being processed
• Prepares checks to be printed.
• Prepare Bill Pay file for bank to process transactions after approval from CEO/COO
• Record cash receipts (including remote deposits) and cash distributions :from bank statement and record into Accounting Software
• Process daily/weekly remote deposit of Paper checks
• Allocate MetLife and United Healthcare invoices per employee for aggregate reporting of expenses
• Prepare and submit bi-weekly payroll and prepare 403b payment information as well as other payroll related submissions
a. Track, on a bi-weekly basis, any expenses for provider education reimbursements that are paid through payroll
b. Ensure deliverable due dates are monitored and completed in 403b company profile
• File and report State Sales Tax every 6 months
• Pay and reconcile credit card and P-Card statements.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NIA
ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provides weekly AP report to the Accounting Manager as well as any other deliverables.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills, and/or ability required:
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Graduation or pursuing an Accounting or Finance degree from an accredited university. Prefer to have, but not required, at least one year of health care related experience.
ESSENTIAL TECHNICAL/MOTOR SKILLS: The Entry Level Accountant must have experience in computer skills including the use of Microsoft Excel and Word. Awareness of medical terminology, accurate typing skills of 45 WPM, able to process work error free with a keen attention to detail.
INTERPERSONAL SKILLS: The Entry Level Accountant must possess cognitive reasoning with clear thinking in high-pressure situations. The incumbent must also possess excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. There will also be times where there will be some level of research into the general ledger to meet the needs of either internal staff or vendor relations.
MENTAL ABILITIES: The Entry Level Accountant must be able to prioritize and withstand pressure of continual work with variable requirements. The incumbent must be able to concentrate and maintain accuracy despite frequent interruptions. This position requires critical thinking and organization skills along with problem solving and reasoning capabilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak English fluently however the ability to speak other languages is a plus.

MedNorth Health Center provides comprehensive health care services, inside a multi-cultural medical/dental clinic, to all individuals; insured. uninsured, and underinsured. The building is heated in winter and air conditioned in the summer with noise levels of moderate to loud. We serve patients who speak multiple languages and who may need the assistance of an interpreter. In this position one may be subject to exposure to copier toner, correction fluid, bright fluorescent lighting, and continuous personal computer exposure.
This job is a Blood borne Pathogens risk category III position.
