Job Responsibilities:
Drivers must provide a compassionate, caring and understanding environment for our clients while making sure that they get to appointments every day. Outstanding punctuality and reliability for our drivers is key. In addition, drivers must be excellent client care ambassadors by providing a listening ear and be proficient in conflict resolution.
We are looking for drivers that bring not only compassion and care to work every day, but take being there for our clients very seriously. As a driver for Medride, you will be tasked with providing essential transportation services for our clients in rain, snow, or sunshine. You will play a key role in getting our clients to essential medical appointments and must be able to arrive on time to scheduled pickups and dropoffs. Because of this, our drivers must be punctual and reliable on every day they are scheduled. Key functions of the driver position include:
- Being on time to pick up clients during scheduled shift
- Be able to effectively communicate and take orders from dispatch
- Provide a safe driving environment while getting clients to appointments on time
- Meet clients at their door and walk them to the door of their destination
- Report drop offs, delays, and incidents to dispatch
- Adhere to company policies and protocol
Qualifications:
- Must have previous customer facing experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring, and timely manner
- Show empathy, compassion, and customer service
- Must adhere to all federal, state and agency rules regarding HIPAA Requirements.
- Possess a valid Colorado Driving License (for at least 2 years)
- Have a clean driving record with no more than 4 points in the last 3 years
- Must provide an updated Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) – 7-year history
Education:
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
Preferred Skills:
- Know how to keep a level head in a busy environment
- Must be passionate about helping people
- Great communication skills
- A good working knowledge of the Southeast Colorado area a plus.
- First Aid/CPR certification a plus but not required (we will train and certify you if needed)
Additional Notes:
For this position the driver will be provided a company vehicle, company cell phone and safety equipment.

Salary: From $17.00 per hour
