MEDICAL DIRECTOR
Medspa810, a franchise organization with locations opening in Texas, is seeking a qualified medical director to provide appropriate clinical oversight of aesthetic services.
Job Summary:
To provide off-site clinical supervision to a team of aesthetic providers to proper protocols and best practices are followed for medical aesthetic treatments. The medical director must ensure that appropriate supervision of clinical staff is provided to ensure quality outcomes and address any clinical care needs.
Essential Functions:
Medical Supervision:
· Review and approve medical protocols to which all staff must adhere, updating to
reflect new procedures and protocols as needed.
· Maintain a close familiarity with the established protocols and treatment
contraindications.
· Stay up to date and well-informed on all clinical aspects of the services offered.
· Ensure all non-physician providers under your supervision:
o Have adequate and appropriate training for the services they will provide.
o Perform their duties in a safe and appropriate manner.
o Adhere to the physician orders and the instructions and directions provided in
the written protocol.
o Possess and maintain the proper credentials to perform services in alignment
with state regulations.
· Interview each prospective clinical provider and approve of their employment to
perform treatments.
· Communicate regularly (or as needed) with clinical provider(s) to whom on-site
delegation is designated.
· Be available for any patient or staff questions or problems regarding the
treatments offered and respond to these questions or problems in a timely manner.
· Communicate with ownership and/or practice partners on the status of the quality
of care and suggestions that may improve the quality of services provided.
· Ensure appropriate maintenance and storage of patients’ medical records.
· Regularly perform and document a chart review for each provider (at the level
required by state regulation).
· Periodically perform evaluations of each provider, documenting and filing
evaluation in employees’ files.
· Provide the appropriate level of oversight, review, and direction as required for
aesthetic medical practices within the state.
· Must be knowledgeable of aesthetic services and state regulations surrounding the
treatments and industry.
· Establish performance guidelines and monitor compliance.
