The Managing Director is responsible for defining the technologies we use for exceeding the expectations and needs of our managed IT services clients. Such technologies include remote monitoring and management platform, ticketing, backup and disaster recovery solutions, patching and vulnerability management, and configuration compliance. The Managing Director will lead the implementation of the proper solutions for growth and scale and drive the team toward maximum use and integration. Working alongside the Managing Director and Management Team, he/she will help define client technologies such as compute, storage, networking, wireless, Office 365 services, and other cloud resources and will always achieve security compliance objectives and implement best practices. The Managing Director leads various teams including Maintenance and Monitoring, EHR, and Security.
Core Responsibilities:
Provides leadership for management and technical teams
Performs client onboarding, support, and project work as assigned
Analyzes client infrastructure and performs technology audits to improve policies and make recommendations based on HIPAA, HITECH, and security guidelines
Develops and implements Managed Service Provider (MSP) technologies for growth and scale
Provides Sales Engineering assistance and review of profitability on all new opportunities and renewals
Leads design and implementation processes for client organizations’ IT systems
Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss
Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure
Leads, coordinates, and facilitates IT security audits and investigations
Provides the leadership and guidance the customer needs to navigate business and technology changes
Analyzes business requirements of all client departments to determine their technology needs
Identifies and eliminates security vulnerabilities with strategic solutions that increase data security
Meets regularly with appropriate business leaders to understand future plans and challenges
Provides regular updates to senior leadership
Maintains strong relationships with appropriate technology vendors and partners
Identifies and recommends new technology solutions
Develops standards and procedures as appropriate
Interviews prospective employees, onboards new employees, etc.
Qualifications
5 years of experience in directing the delivery of managed IT services
5 years of experience in Healthcare IT Support preferred
8 years of strategic technology support, planning, and execution
Experience leading a team of high performing support staff
Ability to create multi-level program with incorporated individual project plans/schedules, budgets and forecasts.
Proficient in Microsoft 365 Applications (Excel, Word, MS Project, PowerPoint, and Visio).
Demonstrated ability to successfully handle multiple demands and meet deadlines, accomplishing assigned tasks with accuracy and within budget.
Demonstrated ability to cooperate, communicate and work with team members, supervisors and outside contacts and contractors.
Excellent communication skills is required
Extensive knowledge of business and IT services functions is required
Advanced working knowledge of Windows Server operating systems
Advanced working knowledge of local and wide area networks as well related concepts and technologies (switching, routing, VPN, firewalls)
Experience with cloud infrastructure deployment and management
Advanced knowledge of ConnectWise and N-Able
Analytical thinker with strong attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills, able to work with little to no supervision
Must be able to relay technical information to clients and staff with varying skill levels in a manner they can understand
Demonstrated ability to manage vendor/supplier relationships
A keen ability to learn quickly and find resolutions to technical issues
A proven track record in a team environment
Advanced understanding of anti-virus, EDR, and patch management systems and processes
Ability to consider multiple tasks, requests, and issues, and independently make timely decisions to prioritize support for clients
Strong communication skills: verbal, written, and presentation
