What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Care Worker position at MedStaffers?
MedStaffers is looking to build the right team of caregivers to assist our client. Our client would love to stay in their home but just needs some additional support --. Our current client is in need of assist Monday- Friday 17 hours per week. Days or evenings this can be very flexible with, bathing, light housekeeping, meal prep/clean up, shopping. Staff must have their own transportation, client lives out of town. Could that be you?! Responsibilities May Include:
- Assisting with personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care
- Assistance with ambulation, transfers, and exercises
- Light housekeeping such as dusting, vacuuming, washing dishes, and laundry
- Running errands such as grocery shopping and transportation to medical appointments
- Preparation and serving of meals and snacks
- Medication Reminders
- Companionship
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1 year of home care experience, preferred (but we will train the right person!)
- Reliable vehicle or transportation
- Must be willing to undergo a criminal background check and complete (or provide) a 2 step TB test
