- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years related experience.
- No special certification, registration or licensure is required.
- Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
- Analyzes actual costs versus standard costs, prepares variance reports, and interprets cost variances.
- Analyzes cost records to ascertain distribution of costs.
- Analyzes operation of system; prepares recommendations and documentation to create and update fiscal services and other related policies and procedures.
- Assumes responsibility for cost data preparation, analysis, systems analysis, and other fiscally related duties.
- Conducts and assists in the presentation of fiscal educational sessions as assigned.
- Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies, procedures, quality standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations.
- Maintains base, overtime and other compensation tracking system and enters into payroll (API) for processing and proper allocation of payroll funds.
- Maintains physician expense account tracking system and compiles, submits and tracks reimbursement for 100 physicians.
- Participates in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams as appropriate. Participates in meetings, serves on committees and represents the department and hospital/facility in community outreach efforts as appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Prepares financial feasibility studies and operational systems; reviews and evaluates administrative and planning studies as assigned.
- Reviews actual performance against budgeted performance and prepares reports explaining budget deviations.
- Reviews and enters employee time for payroll processing (100 employees).
