What are the responsibilities and job description for the LPN / CMA position at Medstat?
Education:
Must be a high school graduate and have successfully completed a licensed practical nurse program.
Experience:
Approximately 3-5 years clinical nursing experience, of which at least 2 will be in Occupational Health and/or Emergency nursing or its equivalent preferred.
Licensure:
Current licensure in the State of Indiana as a Practical Nurse required.
Other:
Exposure Control Level: _X__ 1 ____ 2 ____ 3
Must maintain current Healthcare Provider CPR and AED certification.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with 100 lbs.
Knowledge of basic typing and computer skills required. Previous experience with EMR preferred.
May be expected to work Sunday through Saturday in any of our MedStat locations or MedStat covered facilities.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions due to patient contact (contagious viruses, bacteria, etc.)
