Medtronic is looking for a Communications Generalist to join our Ear/Nose/Throat (ENT) Sales team. A Day in the Life
In this role, you will report to the Vice President of US Sales for ENT and work under general direction. As a key team member, you will be responsible for the development and effective execution of the ENT organization’s internal Sales communications.
This is a highly visible role that requires a proactive, creative approach and the ability to assess communications opportunities, understand different audiences, and engage stakeholders.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factorssuch as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely tocandidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

A Day in the Life

This is a highly visible role that requires a proactive, creative approach and the ability to assess communications opportunities, understand different audiences, and engage stakeholders.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Leverage internal communications to convey messages to inform, motivate and recognize audiences
- Maintain strong relationships with senior leaders to support effective executive communications and provide counsel and coaching to ensure effective communication to employees
- Use communications to help build a connected culture
- Shape messages, develop editorial calendars, create and activate communication channels, and provide insights and information at a tactical level
- Partner with regional commercial program manager to plan and implement internal meetings, such as Town Halls, team webinars, etc., with a sustained focus on specific Sales business and communications objectives.
- Support issue mitigation and change communications
- Partner with marketing, marketing ops, communications, and strategy to determine new, fresh ways to promote ENT stories. May manage social media across the operating unit.
- Manage the internal review process for external communications materials

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or an advanced degree with no experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, or other associated field of study
- Two or more years of Communications experience at a Corporate level
- Experience in public relations
- Knowledge of social and digital media engagement
- Understanding of basic brand, marketing, and design principles
- Experience engaging, briefing, and managing third-party vendors
- Experience working independently and collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of an organization
