Supply Planning professional interested in working in Surgical Robotics, collaborating with Contract Manufacturers and internal customers. A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Analyzes, develops, and implements short & long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues and production location decisions in support of business goals.
- Collaborates with Contract Manufacturers, ensuring that purchase orders are placed at the appropriate time, for the appropriate quantity – generating a production plan for the next 3-6 months
- Monitors inventory to ensure communication between Medtronic and Contract Manufacturer is aligned with net requirements, minimizing over producing and over purchasing
- Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.
- Monitors key sales and operations planning performance indicators, cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
- Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
- May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals.
- The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

- Bachelors degree required
