A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Updating procedure, part specification and DMAIC A3 (Lean Improvement)
- Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
- Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- Operate related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.
Must Have – Minimum Requirements

- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant Technician experience, and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.
Nice to Have:
- Associate degree or Bachelor's Degree in a technical program or other technical training/certification.
- Able to create presentations for an Engineering audience
- Able to create Change Order
- Experience with Agile and SAP
- Able to update drawings and create new part number
- 15 years’ experience in a Testing / Manufacturing environment (preferably medical manufacturing)
- Previous medical device experience
- Experience with GMP and GDP requirements
- Knowledge of the English and Metric measuring systems with the ability to perform mathematical conversions to each
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite and Minitab
- Prior knowledge and experience in AutoCAD/Solidworks in drafting plant layouts, manufacturing fixtures, engineering drawings, etc.
- Basic Background in Statistical Process Control and statistical analysis
- Ability to work well on teams
- A thorough understanding of Serviceability, design, and manufacturing of mechanical components and assemblies.
