Medtronic Cardiac and Vascular Group (CVG) provides interventional devices to treat coronary arteries that are blocked by atherosclerotic plaque and devices and therapies to treat structural defects of the heart. A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Updating procedure, part specification and DMAIC A3 (Lean Improvement)
  • Perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
  • Construct, troubleshoot, calibrate, adjust, test, diagnose, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems.
  • Work from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
  • Operate related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
  • Perform calibration and alignment checks; make adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepare prescribed compounds and solutions.

Must Have – Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant Technician experience, and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience.

Nice to Have:

  • Associate degree or Bachelor's Degree in a technical program or other technical training/certification.
  • Able to create presentations for an Engineering audience
  • Able to create Change Order
  • Experience with Agile and SAP
  • Able to update drawings and create new part number
  • 15 years’ experience in a Testing / Manufacturing environment (preferably medical manufacturing)
  • Previous medical device experience
  • Experience with GMP and GDP requirements
  • Knowledge of the English and Metric measuring systems with the ability to perform mathematical conversions to each
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite and Minitab
  • Prior knowledge and experience in AutoCAD/Solidworks in drafting plant layouts, manufacturing fixtures, engineering drawings, etc.
  • Basic Background in Statistical Process Control and statistical analysis
  • Ability to work well on teams
  • A thorough understanding of Serviceability, design, and manufacturing of mechanical components and assemblies.
