Mehlville Fire Protection District (MFPD) provides Fire, EMS, and Mobile Integrated Health to the communities we serve. We cover 52 square miles and respond to over 17,000 calls per year. MFPD has an excellent reputation for quality pre-hospital care. MFPD offers a unique opportunity for Registered Nurses to join our team as Critical Care Practitioners within our high performing EMS system.

Minimum Job Requirements:

· Ability to work ten 24-hour shifts per month

· Must hold current and valid Missouri State RN license

· Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the last five years in either:

· 1. An adult level 1 or level 2 trauma center emergency department and TNCC & CEN

or

2. Helicopter EMS agency that responds to scene flights and CFRN

· Must hold CFRN or obtain CFRN within 12 months of hire

· Must have ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

· Must have a valid, current driver's license

Preferred Job Requirements:

· EMT/Paramedic certification

· Ground EMS experience

· Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

· ICU experience

· TNCC certification

· CEN certification

· CCRN certification

· CEN certification

· ATCN certification

· CFRN certification

· ATLS, PHTLS, and ITLS certification

· BSN and/or MSN

Compensation:

· Initial salary is $84,130 annually, plus an additional $7,000 after passing the Critical Care Paramedic (CCP) course

· After one year, $92,047 annually plus an additional $7,000 for the CCP certification for a total of $99,047

· After two years, $98,976 annually plus an additional $7,000 for the CCP certification for a total of $105,976
