Are you an Experienced Electric professional who takes pride in providing exceptional customer service and improving people’s lives?  Meiers Mechanical is seeking a hardworking, passionate, and dedicated Journeyman Electrical professional who is mechanically savvy and skilled in residential service calls. Our electricians are responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing residential electrical systems.

The ideal candidate will have a professional demeanor and attitude with a thorough knowledge of residential electrical concepts. Successful candidates must be organized with great attention to detail. You should have exceptional multi-tasking skills and must be able to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Most of all you must be an excellent communicator able to effectively explain products and services which best meet our client's needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a variety of hand and power tools
• Demonstrate Respect, Compassion, and Integrity when communicating with clients
• Ability to communicate recommendations and services
• Demonstrate the ability to perform tasks in a timely manner in accordance with our quality and safety standards
• Ability to demonstrate punctuality
• Participate in weekly meetings for continuing training and development

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3 years experience (or 4000 hours of documented work experience)
• Self motivated, goal driven, competitive, individual contributor who loves to win as a team
• Engaging personality which blends well with a fast paced environment
• Excel at setting job expectations with customers
• Basic math skills are a must
• Analytical, focused on quality, and results-driven

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions
• Strong communication and customer service skills, friendly and approachable

• Demonstrate job stability and high level of dependability
• Possess and maintain a good driving record

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Installing and repairing electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in homes, including but not limited to light fixtures, ceiling fans, light switches, outlets, and panel upgrades.
• Inspecting electrical systems to ensure they are safe and meet electrical codes and regulations
• Operating an electrician's hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, pliers, and hammers
• Installing low voltage systems such as security and fire alarms, intercom systems, and surveillance cameras
• Maintain truck inventory

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-75 lbs. without accommodation
• Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, climb, or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit or balance
• Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception
• Moderate exposure to physical risk
• Work is performed in residential properties which may include attics, garages, and crawl spaces
• Occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders and balance
