What are the responsibilities and job description for the Budget Analyst position at MELE Associates, Inc.?
MELE Associates, Inc. is seeking to add an experienced Budget Analyst team member to support the Office of Advanced Simulation and Computing (ASC) and Institutional Research & Development Programs, NA-114. The Budget Analyst position is located at the Department of Energy Forrestal Building, Washington, DC. This full time position is contingent upon contract award.
Essential Functions:
- Review proposed projects (project data sheets, correlation to other projects, such as Stockpile Stewardship Program and related NNSA documents);
- Develop, conduct, facilitate, document and evaluate programmatic technical reviews of projects, activities, and proposed activities from the perspective of cost benefit analyses, earned value, return on investment, and other appropriate technical evaluation criteria
- Develop and maintain database required to track and report programmatic priorities, progress, and achievements related to the ASC program research, development and simulation.
- Specifically, data that can be used to track uncosted balances, project planned expenditures, and provide for generation of various financial options based upon technical considerations, programmatic priorities, and scheduled milestones.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q Clearance/Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in business, mathematics, political science or engineering
- Minimum seven (7) years continuous years of post-bachelor’s degree work in their degree field
- Superior communication, organizational, interpersonal, and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current and active DOE Q Clearance/Top Secret Clearance with ability to acquire an SCI.
- Master’s degree in business, mathematics, political science or engineering
- Experience with DOE/NNSA
This position is contingent upon contract award expected May 2024.
LOCATION: This is a full-time position in Washington, DC 20585, USA
SALARY: Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data, internal equity, and the candidate’s related knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
