Recovery Associate
Location: Hybrid in New York City
Qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant work experience preferably within recovery payment operations
- Familiarity of ACH, Domestic and International Wire, and Card Network compliance and regulations in addition to card, domestic, and international wire
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure conversations
- Excellent time management skills by being able to balance multiple projects at one time
- Driven to grow and take on new responsibilities within a team, while being a great collaborative team player
- Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment, while being able to stay patient while managing a variety of situations
- Prior experience within Collections or Payment Operations preferred
Bonus points:
- Prior experience working for a bank, tech, fintech startup, or a similar environment driven by the vision and success of the company
A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
- Provide critical support for handling recollection for fraud cases and owed funds
- Partner directly with our banking institutions to optimize the recollection process
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to enhance revenue-driving opportunities for the business
- Work cross-functionally to support both domestic and international payments
- Assist clients with paying all outstanding fees
About the team:
As a Recovery Associate within our Payment Operations team, you will be integral in helping Melio prevent loss, mitigate uncollected funds, and optimize revenue for the business. By tracking, recording, and recovering uncollected funds and fees, you will be working with our Partnering Banks to recoup funds on behalf of our users. In addition, you will play an essential role in recovering lost funds on behalf of our users and fighting both ACH and card disputes. You will play an essential role in ensuring Melio’s partners have a positive experience and a comprehensive fix to any potential issues.
