Melmark Overview Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders. # Administrative Assistant#Overview Provides administrative and clerical support to Corporate Departments (HR, Professional Development, Quality Improvement, Admissions) relating to correspondence, filing, scanning and uploading, data entry, phone, mail services, typing, editing, assisting in projects related to clinical, school, residential and professional development services.# Maintains responsibility for supporting the operations of Melmark by monitoring building and visitor access to assigned locations, answering incoming phone calls and directing all parties as required to ensure smooth and efficient business operations. ##Must have a high level ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations.# Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.# Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands.# Position will require attention to detail in composing, editing, and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. # Schedule and Salary Information Monday- Friday 8:30a-5p Starting Rate: $17.00/hour ( ) based on years of experience # Requirements High School diploma or G.E.D. required.# Bachelor#s Degree preferred. A valid US Driver#s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.# Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Microsoft Outlook.# Must be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills, good writing, communication and organizational skills at all levels of the organization. Minimum of two to five (2-5) years office support experience. # Administrative Assistant#Responsibilities Responsible to check-in visitors and vendors through Raptor system, provide name tags and ensure that they do not roam the building without a designee. Note any unusual activity and immediately report it to a member of leadership. Direct incoming calls to proper individual with courtesy and promptness.# Take and relay messages appropriately. Answer general questions and provides general information; direct more specific questions to proper individual. Accepts outgoing mail from other departments, stamps all mail and ensures timely mailing. Tracks and manages postage needs. Sorts, screens and distributes mail based on priority levels.# Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and communications.# Sends and distributes faxes. Assembles materials for Human Resources, Communications and other purposes.
