General Responsibilities
The Assistant Program Manager is an administrative and clinical supervisor for the residential program and is responsible to oversee the clinical and administrative operations of the home. The APM will serve as a supervisor of all employees assigned to that location. The APM is responsible for the training and implementation of the clinical behavioral interventions and teaching strategies for individuals in the residential treatment facility. The APM will ensure operational compliance with organization standards and all agency, departmental and accreditation policies and procedures.
Populations served are intensely physically challenging. The Assistant Program Manager position requires that staff be aware that individuals who are served may exhibit aggressive and/or self-injurious behavior. This requires the APM to be constantly alert and ready to respond to the individual’s needs according to effective behavior analytic interventions.
Basic Qualifications
Education/Training: Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Experience with children who exhibit severe challenging behavior preferred. Completion of coursework in Applied Behavior Analysis highly preferred.
Certifications/Licensure: A valid US driver’s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old. Successful completion of employer provided certification in CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention/ Prevention. Completion of employer-certified training program in vehicle certification and Level II Functional Analysis.
Skill(s): Working knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and Microsoft Office. Ability to implement function-based interventions for the reduction of challenging behaviors. Experience in the principles and application of Applied Behavior Analysis. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
Experience: One year direct care experience with specialized populations required. Supervisory experience preferred. Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis is desirable.
