What are the responsibilities and job description for the Member Support Assistant position at Melody Lane Academy?
1. Create a friendly and welcoming environment
- Greet every person warmly upon their entry into the building
- Bid everyone a friendly farewell upon their exit
- Maintain an easy-to-approach attitude
- Be eager to help our families, students, fellow staff members, etc.
- Always do what you say you will do, and follow up with communications.
2. Effectively communicate to current and potential families
- Use correct spelling & grammar in all forms of communication
- Post reminders in our family Facebook group, and Remind App
- Create & schedule Facebook/Instagram Page posts
- Create signs, handouts, social posts, documents, etc. as needed using Google Drive, occasional Microsoft Office programs, Adobe, and primarily Canva.
- Document all interactions via phone, email, and in person.
- Transpose every client interaction to tracking system.
- Be able to look forward and know what work is coming based on schedules, events, projects, and goals.
- Take detailed notes, and communicate follow up to appropriate parties.
3. Have autonomy for your job
- Bring new ideas throughout the year on how we can be more efficient, helpful, better, etc.
- Think about what you need to make your job easier & more efficient and request it/research it
- Ask yourself, "What else can be done?" to complete a task or fill empty time
- Ask yourself every day, "Did I work with excellence today? How can I do better tomorrow?"
- Take responsibility for your mistakes & correct them
- Work hard every day.
- Be PROACTIVE, not REACTIVE in your work.
- Have excellent attention to detail by being able to see what is out of place and fixing it, taking a moment to lend a hand to someone in need, and doing important or needed things without being asked.
- Follow all rhythm calendars, task management software, schedules, and policies.
Details
Must be available for the following shifts:
- Monday - Thursday 12:30-5:30
- Fridays 11:00-3:00
- Schedule is somewhat flexible for college students based on course schedules.
- Some Saturday morning availability if administrative coverage is needed, for large events, or meetings and trainings.
These are the hours we are “starting” with. We tend to go UP in hours as our season goes on. Over the summer our hours vary each week for the 2nd half of June, all of July, and half of August. These months will hold a minimum of 8 hours a week.
