Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks within the accounting department to ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and efficiently.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Accounts payable processing using Bill.com software.
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies.
- Work with project managers to ensure accurate job cost coding of expenses.
- Code credit card charges in online credit card application and in accounting software.
- Process check requests and expense reimbursements.
- Prepare construction use tax returns for filing.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Research, track and correct accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma.
- Associate’s degree or relevant certification required.
- Experience with Bill.com accounts payable software is a plus.
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable principles.
- 1-2 years of experience using QuickBooks Desktop accounting software.
- Direct experience with spreadsheets.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.
- Competency in MS Office and Outlook.
- General understanding of construction job cost accounting.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Prolonged periods of standing and sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to ten pounds at times.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
