JOB SUMMARY: The primary role of the Application Support Analyst Team Lead is to assist the VP Business Technology Unit in leading and managing the Application Support Analyst team. The Application Support Analyst Team Lead will work in conjunction with the VP BTU to assign applications, tasks, and projects to the Application Support Analyst team, monitoring progress of those assignments for their duration. The Application Support Analyst Team Lead will assist with the coordination of work within the department and must be knowledgeable in all functional areas of the department. This includes understanding the credit union’s strategic priorities, ensuring departmental goals and deadlines are met, and assisting the VP BTU with hiring, motivating team members, and assessing performance,

JOB ACCOUNTABILITY:

• Support and assist in the management of Application Support Analyst team.
• Participate in the hiring of resources, motivate and coach team members, enforce training accountability, ensure effective teamwork, and represent high standards of work quality and organizational performance.
• Communicate team goals and identify areas for new training or skill checks.
• Conduct team meetings to update the team on best practices and continuing expectations.
• Generate and share comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines.
• Serve as an essential second level point of contact for the BTU team, assuring proper responsiveness to questions and issues related to specific applications.
• Assist in the discovery for process requirements, present solutions that meet the needs of internal members, and complement the business strategies of the credit union.
• Take a lead role in supporting special projects involving the Business Technology Department, assisting the VP Business Technology Unit with coordinating project work and ensuring projects remain on schedule.
• Collaborate with team members to optimize assigned applications and find innovative solutions to improve the way the credit union does business.
• Develop a strong relationship with other department managers and leaders throughout the organization to establish communication and understand departmental objectives.
• Work with the VP Business Technology Unit to research and recommend new technology solutions and appropriate enhancements for assigned applications.
• Advance job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities as well as reading professional publications to keep up with the latest advancements in technology to ensure the credit union is providing the best possible solutions for its members and staff.
• Ensure that the confidentiality of all information and transactions regarding the credit union, its members, and employees are held to the highest level of business ethics.
• Know and understand all credit union policies.
• Comply with all federal regulations, credit union policies and procedures, including Bank Secrecy and the USA Patriot Act.
• Comply with all fair lending laws and the prohibitions enumerated in the credit union’s lending policy.
• Overtly support the team environment in the workplace as well as credit union management and the Board of Directors.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analysis, Information Technology or an equivalent combination of technology education and experience.
• Critical thinking, strong communication skills, and creative problem-solving skills as it relates to technology and processes.
• Experience leading a team, business transformation, process improvement, project management or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and presentation tools.
• Must possess the ability to interpret technical material and able to present ideas and procedures clearly to others.
