JOB DESCRIPTION
The Programmer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and integration of software and services that align with Member Choice Credit Union’s business requirements. They will collaborate with a talented team of Programmers to encode, test, and debug solutions to enhance the services offered by the Credit Union. In addition, they will support business applications, databases, and end users. The Programmer will provide support using various methods, including email, internal tickets, phone calls, internal messaging platforms, and in-person visits. The Programmer will learn multiple applications and platforms. Additionally, the Programmer will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills along with a professional appearance and attitude.
This position is for full time, in the office, local commute only employment. A hybrid work policy may become available after restrictions have been met.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, program, integrate, and maintain business applications in existing production and development environments which utilize SharePoint, Teams, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and PowerShell applications and services
- Troubleshoot and support end-user applications and platforms designed with Microsoft .NET Framework
- Troubleshoot and support end-user applications and platforms designed with Apace Tomcat Servlet/JSP container
- Program and manage integrations between third-party applications using Power Automate, PowerShell, SOAP, and RESTful APIs
- Manage and maintain existing and new workflows and processes
- Collaborate with departments and teams to implement and enhance business application functionality
- Investigate application problems and identify root cause analysis. Document findings and solutions
- Participate with Service desk calls. Ensure that all support requests are followed-up with end-users to satisfaction and resolution
- Follow, train, and guide staff on best practices related to security and software usage
- Work with third-party resources to identify and correct causes of software issues
- Maintain confidentiality regarding the information processed, stored, or accessed by the end-users on the network
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- BA or BS in Computer Information Systems or equivalent work experience
- Must be able to perform necessary IT-troubleshooting steps
- Must be willing to travel to MCCU’s branches when necessary
- Must participate in rotating Saturday phone coverage when necessary
- Must complete security awareness and required credit union training courses
- On occasion, the Programmer will stay extended hours for IT maintenance or project-related work
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must document solutions in sufficient detail to precisely convey information to others so that they may troubleshoot and resolve issues without the programmer's assistance
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a demanding environment
- Ability to master new, complex material very quickly using the latest tools and techniques
- Provides friendly, prompt, professional, and accurate service and support to all members and associates
- Maintain a dependable record of attendance and timeliness
- Ability to learn the Credit Union’s products and services
- Must adhere to industry best practices in programming and security
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Primary knowledge of Windows operating systems (Desktop and Server)
- Primary knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Primary knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform
- Primary knowledge of Authentication, Security, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
- Primary knowledge of Web programming framework and Web API’s
- Primary knowledge of SQL language and SQL Server Database Administration (DBA)
- Primary knowledge of an Enterprise service management application
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Technical knowledge of Networking
- Technical knowledge of Virtual Desktop and Application Infrastructure
- Technical knowledge of Apache Tomcat Servlet/JSP container
