Job Title: Hydronic Pipefitter

Job Description:
As a Hydronic Pipefitter, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of hydronic heating and cooling systems. You will work with various piping materials and systems to ensure efficient and reliable operation of these critical systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipefitting, particularly with hydronic systems, and will be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, assemble, and maintain hydronic piping systems, including boilers, radiators, chillers, and heat pumps.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately install piping systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
- Weld, braze, solder, and bond piping materials as needed.
- Test piping systems for leaks and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing hydronic systems.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with hydronic systems and recommend corrective actions.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a pipefitter, specifically in hydronic systems.
- Strong knowledge of hydronic heating and cooling systems, including boilers, radiators, and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using pipefitting tools and equipment.
- Certification in pipefitting, welding, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with local plumbing codes and regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
