The Communications Associate is expected to perform a wide variety of tasks within the company’s corporate communications department. This person will be expected to ensure clear communications for the company’s many stakeholders through all communications channels. This position will also provide administrative support to the Communications Team.
- Assist with planning and executing communications strategies and managing projects as assigned.
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Communications Department and other internal business partners.
- Provide in-house photography including new hire and company event photos.
- Draft and edit copy for the company’s intranet, website, press releases, social media posts, and other print and electronic collateral.
- Help to plan and publish content to the company’s website and social media channels.
- Assist in the coordination and facilitation of company events, meetings, and workshops.
- Represent the company at business events and trade shows.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Communications Assistant or similar role in a corporate or agency setting is a plus.
- Working knowledge of business software as well as page layout and image editing software (e.g. Adobe InDesign, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Experience with Web-authoring software, database management, and a solid understanding of social media channel functionality for maximum search engine optimization.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, customer service, organizational skills, team player, and
excellent written and oral communication skills. - Strong editing and researching skills.
