The Coordinator of the Sterile Processing Department will provide for the delivery of efficient and effective sterile process for designative areas. The Coordinator will provide support for the manager to ensure that the processing services is consistent with established national, state, and medical center standards, and is provided in a safe, appropriate and cost-effective manner. The Central Sterile Coordinator will the be responsible of processing and maintaining quality control of surgical instruments, and the monitoring of sterilization/decontamination equipment used in Surgical Services. The position requires a thorough knowledge of surgical instrumentation/equipment decontamination, sterilization principles and practices, instrument tray assembly and inventory control.

Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT), or Certified Registered Central Service Technician
5 years experience Required Years of Experience/ 1-2 years as lead/supervisor is preferred
