Quality Assurance Nurse - LPN - Driftwood Nursing Center - Days - FT

The Quality Assurance Nurse is responsible for coordinating between the resident, the medical record and facility staff to provide quality care and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Required Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited, state-approved LPN program or school of nursing.

Licensure: Current MS LPN or RN license, MS 90-day temporary permit, or Compact state license.

Experience: One (1) year of clinical nursing experience.

Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact or educate residents. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, clinical staff and providers. Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing functions in the long-term care facility. Knowledge of uses and operations of equipment and instruments used in patient care. Working knowledge of electronic medical records. Must be resident/customer service oriented, projecting professionalism and socio-economic and cultural sensitivity.
