What are the responsibilities and job description for the Audiologist position at Memorial Hospital?
Job Description:
- Responsible for providing primary care to patients who have hearing, balance, and related ear problems
- Assist patients of all ages, often working closely with other clinicians
- Assesses hearing capabilities and deficiencies of patients
- Counsels on adjusting to hearing loss and teaching communication strategies
- Develops special treatment programs on an individualized basis for hearing, balance and neural issues
- Recommend, fit and dispense personal or large-area amplification systems and alert devices
- Develops and implements treatment plans and other goals established in evaluations and assessments
- Performs tests and protocols as identified in the evaluation
- Makes recommendations and adjustments to plan of treatment as necessary
- Counsels patients about hearing, balance and related issues
- Educates patients about treatment plan including care and maintenance of hearing aids
Job Qualifications:
- Masters degree in audiology (required)
- Clinical doctoral degree (preferred)
- Certification, accreditation, or license appropriate with the level of professional practice as required by the State of Indiana and/or professional organization (required)
FTE Status: 1.0 (40 hrs/wk) M-F Days
