PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Support workers’ compensation and premises liability claims management. Lead external and internal resources in support of the defense of workers’ compensation matters and premises liability actions in tort
· Responsible for budgeting and forecasting litigation exposure and defense costs; identifying, retaining, and terminating outside counsel as needed; and coordinating the defense of claims with third-party administrators and insurers
· Responsible for contract drafting, review, and negotiation
· Provide legal support and assist management-side personnel with regulatory compliance strategies
· Provide legal support and assist in the management of the company’s intellectual property portfolio
· Identify opportunities and implement internal company policies and procedures to increase business efficiencies
· Provide legal support and assist management-side personnel with various legal matters as assigned
