About The Opportunity
In this critical role, you will plan production schedules as well as monitor materials, track progress of production, and review factors which affect schedules.Essential Job Functions
- Monitor forecasts and develop capacity attainment plan based on capabilities and future projected customer demand.
- Execute material resource planning (MRP) to ensure materials and components are available to generate the master production schedule.
- Analyze customer and production requirements to maximize space utilization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure key performance indicators achieved.
- Collect, monitor and analyze data to control capacity risks, maintain site efficiencies and assure on-time delivery.
- Prepare and review required business reports.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives for production planning process and information flow.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- High school degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes.
- Strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products.
- Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
- Issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
- Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle
- Day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting
