Litigation Legal Assistant

Menn Law Firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Legal Assistant for our Appleton office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in civil and/or commercial litigation and will be responsible for legal and administrative duties as necessary to support our Litigation Group.

$20 - $25 hourly

• Transcribe, compose, and type all necessary legal documents, pleadings, memos, and correspondence for attorney review and amendment.
• Check the accuracy and clarity of the produced work.
• Oversee attorney calendar; arrange conferences, teleconferences, meetings, travel arrangements, court hearings, and depositions.
• Track court dates, filings, and pleadings.
• Maintain and update filing systems.
• File legal papers and official documents in the office filing system.
• Submit documents to state and federal courts and county offices electronically.
• Complete administrative tasks, such as opening/closing files and handling mail.
• Follow up on assigned tasks.
• Act responsibly and take decisions based on sound judgment.
• Input attorney time and expenses in order to generate revenue.
• Protect client confidentiality by keeping client/attorney conversations and details strictly confidential.
• Interact with customers when needed.
• Execute additional administrative or office-related tasks upon request.

• At least three years of experience with civil and/or commercial litigation is necessary.
• Exceptional organizational abilities are a must. The suitable applicant must be proficient in managing and ordering multiple tasks while ensuring that everything is done accurately and in a prompt manner.
• Should be self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and as part of a squad.
• Possess superior critical-thinking faculties.
• Must have excellent verbal and interpersonal expertise, able to maintain client/attorney confidentiality while delivering info with courtesy and delicacy.
• Must be ardent, communicative, swift to learn, approachable, reliable, punctual, and content to operate in an active atmosphere.
• Excellent English aptitudes for grammar, proofreading, and composition are requirements.
