Woodcrest Villa

CURRENT OPENINGS:
*Full-time: 80 hours biweekly: 6:30AM-3:00PM
-Every third weekend rotation.

The Wellness Specialist guides residents and staff through various wellness programs, classes and use of the fitness center. This position also provides supervision and upkeep for the Woodcrest Villa pool. This position will be performed in accordance with Mennonite Home Communities Core Values, Mission Statement, and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in exercise science or another related professional field preferred.

• Previous experience serving an older adult population for a minimum of two (2) years preferred, but not required.

• Maintains current in-person Lifeguard / CPR / AED / First Aid Certifications.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Assists the Wellness Manager with the development and implementation of wellness programs.

• Recruits and works to retain VIVA Centre members. Provides education, assessment, and wellness waivers to both residents and staff.

• Assists with resident/staff assessments related to the appropriate use of the Aquatic and Fitness Center equipment and participation in various classes.

• Organizes and leads residents on outdoor hikes and other indoor/outdoor activities such as bocce, corn hole, pickle ball, and horseshoes several times per year.

• Understands, maintains, and operates equipment in the Aquatic Center, Fitness Center, and Fitness Studio.
