MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OF JOB:
- Operates production calibration equipment.
- Assists in troubleshooting production calibration equipment.
- Performs changeovers and adjustments.
- Makes adjustments as necessary to produce product within specified accuracy. Rejects non calibratable product.
- Operates within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and special instructions (SIs).
- Completes daily production logs.
- Performs preventive maintenance (PMs) on calibration equipment.
- Communicates with operators from other shifts.
- Cleans and maintains work area. (5S)
- Assists mechanics and machinists in repair work
- Provides on-the-job training to new employees
- Performs ancillary duties as needed
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds required.
- The ability to stand for long periods up to eight or more hours at a time
- Able to work in noisy environment.
- Good eyesight (eyesight correction acceptable).
- Be able to work overtime if required. (including weekends)
- Reach 80% of required output with 100% quality for the product family of the home cell
