Mental Health America of South Carolina is looking for a p/t Clinical Counselor to work at it's Day Treatment "Clubhouse" program, Bridges Clubhouse. Bridges is a Day Treatment Program that helps members w/ severe and persistent mental illness to gain life skills, coping skills, and continue in their recovery. Bridges offers Community Integration Services (CIS) to it's members through a structured schedule of group interventions and activities throughout the day.
The Clinical Counselor will work with a team of clinicians to provide Community Integration Services to a group of adults who live with severe and persistent mental illness. The Clinical Counselor is responsible for working with current and prospective clients of Bridges Clubhouse to perform assessments, create treatment plans, and carry out therapeutic interventions. The Clinical Counselor will be responsible for documenting the treatment process.
The Clinical Counselor should:
-Have a thorough knowledge of methods, principles and practices of Clinical Counseling.
-Be able to complete Clinical Documentation in a timely manner.
-Have knowledge of State and Federal Medicaid regulations.
-Have knowledge of group dynamics, human development, psychopathology and patient management within a psychiatric program setting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, psychology, counseling, or an equivalent social services or human services field.
Minimum of 2 years experience working with social services or with people with psychiatric disabilities.

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
