Job Title - Material Handler I

Location : Edison, NJ 08817

Duration : 6 months

Description :

Pre-screening to be completed prior to start date.

Possibility for Perm based on openings and workers performance

Core essential skills set to the considered for the role :

1. Experience in GMP & GDP is MUST - any amount of time

2. Documentation practices - possible basic computer skills with email

3. Perform duties that may require standing, stopping, bending for duration of shift

Screening Requirements :

1. Basic Background

2. 12 panel Drug

3. Medical Screenings :

A) Vision Screen - Near, Far, Color, Depth and Peripheral

B) Vital Signs

C) Whisper test

D) Lifting assessment : back fitness assessment should require the ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs

Education Required

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Experience Required :

1-2 years' experience in FDA regulated packaging environment desired.

Key essential skills :

Good Oral communication

Reading and writing in English

Working well with others

Computer literacy

GMP & GDP knowledge

Specialized or Technical

Various Packaging Equipment's HMI Screen Navigation

Knowledge, Licenses :

Tablet / Capsule Filler, Cottoner, Capper, Desiccant Inserter,

Certifications required

Checkweigher, Labeler, Case Former, Pallet Jack.

Able to assist Packaging Technician during packaging line change over.

Capable of persevering, extended hours.

Able to perform basic math functions associated with Packaging Order completion and knowledge of aggregation process on the packaging lines

Able to respond to equipment alarms faults and error messages, to assess potential product impact.

Able to work in a safe manner and comply with EHS PPE requirements.

Physical Demand Requirement

Able to lift up to 50 lbs throughout the shift

Able to work at elevation with appropriate safety gear Able to stand for - 6 hr / shift

Position Summary / Objective :

Able to operate various packaging line equipment and perform material handling responsibilities.

Essential Duties / Functions

Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment; follows established safety and PPE standards and supports safe behaviors.

Execute Packaging in accordance with approved documentation.

Respond to alarms in accordance with approved SOP's during packaging operation.

Perform Packaging Equipment, Change Parts and Line Cleaning processes.

Fill out room / equipment logbooks.

Perform cleanliness verification / line clearance on packaging equipment and packaging line.

Maintain area orderly and clean during packaging operation.

Stage / transfer required packaging material and bulk product.

Performs check / verification and required documentation in the packaging batch record / protocols as required.

Stack Finished Goods cases on a pallet, Shrink-wrap the finished goods pallet and transfer the pallet to warehouse.

Provides packaging components and bulk product to various packaging equipment.

Take out all unused / discarded material to warehouse / recycling area.

Able to operate palletizer / Pallet Jack.

Complies with company policies / SOPs / cGMP / DEA / OSHA / EHS requirements.

Communicate with other team members when issues arise.

Effective verbal skills, imparts urgency with Quality, team player, able to identify -improvement opportunities in given processes / procedures.

Ability to train other Material Handlers / Packaging Operators.

Perform other related duties as assigned by Supervisor / Manager.

Must be able to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
