As a Menzies Aviation GSE Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for directly supervising the GSE
Mechanics. Regular duties include coordinating, scheduling, and auditing of vehicle maintenance repairs to include
preventative, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs to all Menzies Aviation owned/leased equipment.
To be successful, the GSE Supervisor must be self-motivated, excellent communicator, well organized, mature, able to multitask and engage with a fleet of GSE Mechanics. Straight forward in both approach and communication and able to maintain good morale among his team and keep customers happy.
- Location: Denver International Airport (DEN)
- Rate of Pay: $33.50 an hour
- Schedule: Must be flexible to work any day and shift
- Performance Program Increases: 90 days, 6 months, 1 year and 2 years.
Key Accountabilities
- Evaluates the skills of GSE mechanics and involved in the hiring, training, and ongoing development of vehicle
- Ensure the means for proper staffing, planning, and scheduling are in place.
- Leads and motivates hard working teams to deliver excellent quality and productivity
- Performs routine Performance Appraisals of direct reports and provides constructive feedback for career planning,
- Ensures the firm, fair, and consistent accountability for compliance with MA work rules and policies
- Maintains PMI schedule
- Inspects mechanics repairs for accuracy
- Prioritize and assign work to meet station needs
- Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of Menzies assets
- Control repair, inventory, and labor times
- Order Scheduled PM parts and parts for repairs
- Meet and exceed customer satisfaction
- Coach and mentor Fleet Mechanics
- Monitor associate work levels
- Assuring a clean and safe working environment
- Other duties and tasks as required
Skills and Qualifications
- 3-5 years fleet maintenance management experience preferred, or at least 3 years of team management in an
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associates or Tech School degree preferred
- Strong customer service and organizational skills required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office and web-based applications preferred
- Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Possess valid US driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Pass pre-employment drug screen and other pre-employment required testing.
- Pass 10-year Federal background check and fingerprinting
- Ability to proficiently read, write and speak English.
- Must be comfortable lifting 70lbs repetitively.
- Must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
- Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays.
- To report any significant deficiency in our products, materials, and documents
- Has the duty to suggest any improvements to working practices especially those relating to safety and security.
