Key responsibilities
The Operations Manager needs to have knowledge of narrow and wide body aircrafts, will be directly responsible for overseeing, freighter agent and maintenance personnel. The Operations Manager will take accountability for safety, resource management, operation standards, policy implementation, client relations, and financial performance.

Main accountabilities include:
- Full accountability to the GM for Health & Safety issues, operational and financial performance.
- Ensure proper staffing is scheduled and maintained for Manager, Cargo Operations.
- Ensure all training is given to new hires.
- Ensures proper documentation prepared by staff to maintain compliance with airline guidelines, FAA, TSA, CBP and other regulatory agencies.
- Direct Supervisors to ensure proper freight handling and delivery.
- Review operational reports and resolves problems.
- Review equipment inspection forms to ensure specific operational and safety compliance.
- Motivates, coaches and counsel’s staff.
- Responds to critical situations with customers, freight, and employees.
- Routine liaison with customer representatives.
- Producing routine reports.
- Supporting the development of the business units with accurate and timely project work.
- Leading the station equipment planning cycle.
- Ensuring compliance with all internal and external operational and administrative requirements.

- Carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.
- Fully understand the company health and safety policy.
- Attend training courses as may be arranged by the Company.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 7 years management experience in the Airport Ground Handling business.
- A proven track record in managing a business unit.
- Experience in budgeting and financial management.
- Experience in operational planning and resource allocation.
- A working knowledge of GSE maintenance issues.
- Understanding of the wider airport operational environment.
- Experience and understanding of the commercial issues in aviation.
- Experience of Health and Safety management.
- Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
- Must pass driver’s test with the Department of Airports and obtain a driver’s license to drive on Airport Operational Area (AOA).
- Must pass a pre-employment medical.
- Must pass a drug test.
- Must be able to lift at least 70 pounds on a continuous basis.
