Merakey is seeking aFull-Time Dual Diagnosis (Mental Health and Developmental Disability) Behavior Specialist based out ofDayton, Ohio serving counties acrossSouth WestOhio.
The Dual Diagnosis Treatment Team (DDTT) program offers support to children and adults who have both a serious mental illness and a developmental disability. Participants receive counseling, physical healthcare, support finding housing, assistance during crises, and help dealing with other issues in their daily lives.
The Behavior Specialist is responsible for assessing, planning, and developing recovery treatment and support plans for adults with an Intellectual Developmental Disability and mental health diagnosis. The Behavior Specialist provides intensive therapeutic services in all types of settings, including but not limited to community living arrangements, schools, community settings, natural support residents, etc. The Behavioral Specialist, in collaboration with other members of the treatment team, design and directs the implementation of a recovery treatment and support plan that utilizes a person-centered approach.

Requirements:- Masters degree preferred in Social Work, Psychology, or another Human Services related field preferred. Bachelor level applicants with significant experience are encouraged to apply
- 1-3 years of experience working in Mental Health and/or Intellectual Developmental Disabilities populations
- Have knowledge and/or certification in an established behavior modification technique such as Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA), Functional Behavioral Analysis (FBA), ect.
- Valid OH Driver's License and appropriate state and federal clearance
