JOB OVERVIEW:
Housekeeping is what gives a hotel the “WOW’ factor. It’s the moment a guest walks into the hotel and are impressed, they enter and think “wow, this looks wonderful”. To deliver a great guest experience, a Guest Room Attendant will clean and service their assigned rooms or areas according to established standards and procedures including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, cleaning and sanitizing in line with the IHG CLEAN PROMISE, bathrooms, removing trash, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working papers if needed
- Ability to lift or transport up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull medium to large weight/objects
- Able to bend, stooping, kneeling and stand for long periods of time.
- Frequently standing up and moving about facility
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Self-motivated.

- A talent for paying attention to the smallest detail, making everything right.
- Energetic, personable and outgoing.
- Availability must include weekends and holidays.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Greet guests upon interaction with a warm, sincere, and friendly greeting.
- Respond to any requests made by guests in a timely and efficient manner. Involving another department when necessary.
- Cleaning public areas according to IHG CLEAN PROMISE standards within the allotted time frame by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing and/or vacuuming.
- Clean public bathrooms, stocking paper items, dusting, sanitizing, and mopping floors.
- Clean and polish fixtures, dust all furniture, high dust areas, wipe down walls, equipment, and all guest touchpoints.
- Clean inside of windows, vents and elevators.
- Clean entrances to hotels of debris, garbage, cleaning doors and windows.
- Remove trash and replace with appropriate clear liners.
- Assist with deliveries for all departments when needed and directed.
- Deliver items and extra amenities to guest rooms when needed or requested.
- Notify management or engineering of any need for repairs.
- Safeguard guest’s privacy and security of personal belongings and information.
- Process any items left by guests according to lost and found policy.
- Practice safe work habits, follow all Covid and sanitizing procedures, wear protective safety equipment and follow MSDS and OSHA standards.
- Work with team on increasing departmental and overall Guest Satisfaction scores.
- Perform other job duties as requested by your manager.
