Regional Mortgage Manager

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A REGIONAL MORTGAGE MANAGER

In this highly dynamic role, you will be focused on two initiatives. First, as a producing Regional Manager, you will be responsible for personal mortgage originations of first and second mortgage loans. You will strengthen and build your network with internal and external referral sources by leading your clients through their entire mortgage process, ensuring the best product match and timely closing. Secondly, as a manager, you will lead a team of approximately 20 Mortgage Lenders in all aspects of mortgage sales, including recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring your team to achieve bank directive goals. Wait, there is more! You will be a key player is establishing ongoing sales initiatives and training, tracking sales activities, and assisting in the resolution of customer service issues. You will be instrumental in identifying areas of improvement, developing resource materials, and implementing new initiatives for the bank.

As a Regional Leader and collaborator, you partner with our local Commercial and Treasury teams to build the Mercantile brand and recommend services that add even more value to your customer. You are excited about the awesome sale-able and portfolio products that we have to offer, our supportive localized management team with the authority to respond to market trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree OR equivalent certifications and/or experience
• 5 years' management experience, leading a team of Mortgage Loan Officers
• 10 years' experience in the Mortgage Lending industry
• Knowledge of the local market who is community-oriented is preferred
• Experience recruiting and building successful teams
• Mortgage sales experience with a monthly production volume of at least 4-5 units closed totaling $750,000
• Must become registered and licensed in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS)
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time

OFFICE AND WORK SCHEDULE

This position will be offered an office in one of our beautiful office spaces within the region this position supports. The schedule for this full-time position is flexible to accommodate working where the customer, and your team, is. It is a requirement of this position to be out of the office generating your own business. You will need to balance outbound calling with office time to manage the customer experience.
