JOB TITLE: Detail
DEPARTMENT: Service
Pay Range: The Detailer Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $15.50 and $17.00.
REPORTS TO: Service Manager / Detail Manager
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for washing the exterior and interior of a vehicle according to the customer's wishes and company standards.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greets people and direct them to wait inside while car is being washed.
- Applies soap to car or truck and scrubs using appropriate cloth.
- Sprays rims and clean dirt from tires and rims thoroughly.
- Sprays window cleaner on windows and dry off.
- Applies wax using circular motions.
- Ensures all soap is rinsed from car before beginning other applications.
- Removes debris from car.
- Uses shop vacuum to suck up dirt and debris from carpets.
- Uses upholstery cleaner to remove spots and stains from carpets.
- Removes car mats and shake debris out.
- Cleans rear windows.
- Uses chemicals to wipe down interior of car.
- Cleans dash and console with soft cloth.
- Uses cleaning agents, brushes, cloths, and hoses.
- Applies several coats of wax as needed.
- Removes car seats and vacuum to remove debris.
- Operates cash register and process payments.
- Ensures patrons' valuables and cash remain undisturbed in vehicle.
- Handles complaints as needed.
- Delivers excellent customer service.
- Directs patron to receive their car after it has been washed.
- Takes payments and delivers receipts and change.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- No prior experience or training.
- Certificates, licenses and registrations required: Valid Driver’s License.
