- Provide detailed coordination and development of engineering drawings IAW with MERC standard processes.
- Perform check of engineering drawings including schematics, parts lists, and electrical interconnect listings.
- Utilizes SolidWorks and AutoCAD to develop engineering models and drawings.
- Uses ASME-Y14.100, ASME-Y14.24, ASME-Y14.35 and ASME-Y14.34, MIL-STD-31000, IEEE, ANSI, and other related standards to
- Assists in the establishment of MERC drafting standards and PDM workflow and ensures compliance across the Center.
- Assists other drafting personnel.
- Approves engineering drawings for release.
- Responsible for support and execution of other tasks as assigned by the responsible supervisor.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
- Formal training, course work, or certification and 9 years of directly related experience with ASME-Y14.100, ASME-Y14.24, ASME-Y14.35,
- Experience creating part and assembly models and fabrication drawings via CAD system.
- Familiarity with Air Force systems, drafting practices, and TDP requirements.
- Experience creating part and assembly models and drawings in SolidWorks.
- Experience creating 2D drawings/blueprints for fabrication in AutoCAD.
- Experience in the application of GD&T.
- Experience creating and using Model-Based Definitions (MBD).
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to self-direct work.
