Position: Game Day Team Store Associates
Description:
The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC have been Pittsburgh's premier professional soccer team since its inception in 1999, and play in the United Soccer League, one of the largest and fastest growing professional soccer organizations in North America. The Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC are seeking part-time Game Day Team Store Associates who are interested in working with team merchandise and creating enjoyable customer experiences within a professional sports setting.
We are looking for Team Store Merchandising Associates to work directly with the Director of Merchandising to assist customers and maintain merchandise standards during Riverhounds home games. This is an hourly position and in addition to game day, could require added responsibilities at various retail pop-up locations and/or events at our Coraopolis facility as available.
Duties Include:
Customer Service:
- Greet and welcome customers with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Answer questions about merchandise, sizing, availability, and team information.
- Offer personalized recommendations and suggestions based on customer needs and preferences.
- Assist customers with returns and exchanges, following company policies and procedures.
- Handle customer complaints professionally and strive to find solutions that ensure satisfaction.
- Create a positive and engaging shopping experience for all customers.
Merchandise:
- Maintain a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
- Restock shelves and displays to ensure product availability.
- Conduct inventory checks and report discrepancies to supervisor.
- Keep merchandise clean and free of dust and damage.
- Assist with special promotions and displays as needed.
- Create new design and product ideas. Be included in the product design process. Your ideas are appreciated.
Sales and Cashiering:
- Operate the register accurately and efficiently, processing customer transactions.
- Upsell and cross-sell relevant merchandise to increase sales.
- Promote current promotions and discounts to customers.
- Collect and process payments by credit/debit cards.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Attend training sessions to stay informed about new products, promotions, and company initiatives.
- Report any safety concerns or security breaches to the Director immediately.
- Represent the Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Qualifications:
- Ability to work Riverhounds Home Games. (Mostly Saturday Evenings)
- Polite, positive, outgoing, self-starter who can work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and organized
- Strong customer service skills
- Strong work ethic
- Team player able to handle a variety of tasks
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
