The Information Technology team at our Company's Research & Development division (our Company's Research and Development Labs - R&D) is currently seeking an intermediate DevSecOps & Cloud Engineer with a desire to work on innovative approaches and technologies to automate the application build and deployment processes. This role will work closely with the team lead in creating pipelines, infrastructure as code, configuration management, automation scripts for containerized applications and document the best practices in an agile environment.
Primary job responsibilities:
- Collaborates with Product Manager, Technical Lead and vendor team members in designing and implementing DevSecOps solutions.
- Creates and reviews CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and integrates security and code quality tools.
- Responds to incidents, monitors performance and availability of the containerized applications running in the cloud.
- Documents best practices, guidelines and contributes to shared templates.
- Maintains current industry knowledge of cloud, containers, application build and automation concepts, best practices, and technologies.
- Prioritizes workloads, commitments, and scheduled timelines.
- Documents, reviews, and ensures that all System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and company policy standards are met.
Position Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirement:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant certification or completion of equivalent program in areas such as Software Development, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
Required Experience and Skills:
- Hands-on experience with DevSecOps tools such as git, Jenkins, JIRA, Terraform, Ansible.
- Experience creating CI/CD Pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
- Hands-on experience with Cloud Service Providers (e.g. AWS).
- Experience with Linux operating system commands.
- Knowledge of scripting language such as Python or Unix shell scripts.
- Knowledge of containers and orchestration engines.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- 3 years of experience in IT field and/or related program.
- Experience working as part a global, diverse team.
- Experience with containers, Kubernetes, network, and security.
- Experience with programming languages like Python, NodeJS or Java is a plus.
- Relevant certifications.
- Experience delivering products and features using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience in System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) documentation.
