Job Description
Our Supply Chain team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand. We coordinate all aspects of supply through supply planning, sourcing, making, inventory management, packaging, and delivery. We partner across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan and ensure we get products to the right customer, at the place, at the right time.
The Lead Technician, Warehouse position is at our Animal Health Distribution facility in Omaha, Nebraska. This facility is the sole distribution site of our company's Animal Health products, shipping throughout the United States and 30 countries around the world.
Position Details:
- Lead and motivate a team of 10-12 warehouse/distribution employees.
- Participate in employee training of job duties, safety procedures, assist with team morale.
- Maintain procedures designed to control accurate physical inventories and proper storage of materials.
- Coordinate team efforts to receive, store, and ship all materials using the SAP ATLAS operating system.
- Assist with monitoring the quality and productivity of the team.
- Engage in process improvements and data-based decisions.
- Work with our companies other teams and foster relationships with different departments.
- Work with the leadership team on business strategy, employee engagement, project management, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Ability to work with LTL, Final Target Label (FTL), and small package shipping.
Education/Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree or equivalent preferred
- 5 years of experience in warehouse logistics
Skill Requirements:
- Project management and process improvement skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work in teams or independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective positive interpersonal, coaching, and listening skills.
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to lead meetings.
- Self starter able to work in teams or independently while meeting deadlines.
- Strong computer skills including Work & Excel; experience with SAP systems preferred.
- Radio Frequency and bar code knowledge preferred.
