What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Pharmacist position at Mercy Health BSMH?
Staff pharmacists fill orders for parenteral and enteral medications, monitor patient drug therapies, and provide drug information, promote patient medication safety. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Prepares and dispenses medication orders per physician request according to established policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Ensures safe, appropriate, cost effective medication therapies for patients according to established policies, procedures, and protocols
- Contributes to the quality and effective operation of the department
- Maintains competence required for current job title/position
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
- Performance meets departmental criteria/standards
- Performance meets organizational criteria/standards
- Graduate of an ACPE‑accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy or Pharm. D. degree.
- Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio.
