Program Coordinator Homemaker Care

The Homemaker Care Coordinator is responsible for scheduling clients and coordinating the training program. This includes scheduling Homemaker Care Attendants for client visits, filling open shifts, and coordinating the activities of the Homemaker Care training program. This individual will also be part of a team that provides health education and health screenings to residents of Kern County. Strong communication skills and ability to teach provided curriculum is essential. This position reports directly to the Manager of the Community Wellness and Homemaker Care Program.

Minimum Requirements:

• 3 years experience in program coordination preferable in non profit sector or community service, at least 1 year experience with  scheduling and some experience with implementing training programs.
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Current driver's license with valid insurance
• BLS within 60 days of hire

Excellent organizational and communication skills; positive attitude;  ability to work well with others as part of a team; ability to balance multiple projects and priorities; proficient with google workspace/microsoft office; dependable and accountable. 

Preferred:

Experience in home care scheduling preferred

Bi- lingual - able to speak, read, and write Spanish
