What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Mercy Ridge?
Mercy Ridge Retirement Community is seeking a Full Time Maintenance Tech to join our team!
Under the supervision of the Director of Facilities, the Maintenance Technician is primarily responsible for performing general/preventive maintenance and repairs on all physical structures and certain facility equipment, as well as grounds maintenance in compliance with established safety rules, policies and procedures.
Essential Functions:
- Completing work orders and special projects in a timely manner; keeps maintenance shop and storage areas neat and orderly; maintains tools and equipment in good working order. Performs maintenance repairs such as: plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, etc.
- Performing scheduled maintenance checks throughout the facility which may include assisting inspectors and contractors in the testing, inspection or repair of equipment, building/mechanical systems and structure; responds to all emergencies such as: fire, smoke, panic, alarms.
- Performing and/or assists in scheduled maintenance on equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations and operation manuals.
- Being on call for all disaster emergencies such as: snow, ice storms, fire, tornados and floods; is placed on a weekly on call schedule.
